Every year, Universität Hamburg welcomes new researchers from all over the globe, facing similar questions. The panel “International Arrival” addresses the multiple challenges of arriving at UHH:

• What do I need to know in terms of visa regulations and legal rights?
• Is there support offered by the University?
• How can I get in touch with other internationals and what other networking options are there?
• What do I need to know about the German academic system?

The panel will feature a short presentation by the university’s Welcome Service with the opportunity for attendees to ask questions. The input will be followed by a panel discussion. It provides a forum to incoming researchers and a possibility for exchange regarding both potentials and challenges encountered.

Overall, the event seeks to generate input on how to further optimize the process of settling in for international researchers at the University.

This is a yearly event organized by the Clusters of Excellence, MIN Faculty, and the Department for International Affairs.
