Programming skills are essential for many job opportunities in academia today. In this Summer-Winter School, you will learn the basics and intermediates of the programming language Python, and how to apply it to increase sustainability. The School focuses on the question "How does programming for academic purposes work using the Python computer language for increasing sustainability?" It takes place in the frame of the Research Project "COVIDGI" of the University of Hamburg and Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil.
During the first week (February 6-10), we will work practically with various examples in Python for multi-stressors research with keynote speakers. In the second week (February 13-17), the students will work on their projects with a daily guide from a working group tutor. The SICSS co-organizes the Summer-Winter School. It will be held as a hybrid event and is free of charge for students.
For more information (e.g. on the detailed schedule), please visit the website of the Summer-Winter School or contact the Principal Investigator of the COVIDGI Project, Dr. Juan Miguel Rodriguez Lopez (miguel.rodriguez@uni-hamburg.de). You are welcome to apply via the website until October 1, 2022.
