Women's Career Day
The Women’s Career Day is a two-day event that usually takes place twice a year. The idea is to train young female scientist in multiple facets of career-management and also to raise their awareness for different gender issues a career in science might bring along. Once a year, four different one-day workshops run on two following days, so that participants have the chance to develop and strengthen key skills in two different fields. The workshops deal with interdisciplinary topics and soft-skills and will be very useful for their present and future professional careers, be that within academia or in business and industry. In the second Women’s Career Day of the year, one group of selected participants intensively works for two days on one topic, essential for a successful career. The trainers for all workshops are carefully selected experts with many years of experience in teaching scientists.
