Individual Development Plan
Career development is a crucial part of a doctorate – regardless of whether the career is pursued inside or outside academia. At the same time, the doctorate provides exciting opportunities to learn new things, explore new paths, and experiment in new fields. The Individual Development Plan (IDP) of the MIN Graduate Center supports doctoral researchers at the MIN Faculty in taking ownership of their personal career development and facilitates the transition into their future career. We have designed the IDP to help doctoral researchers regarding the following aspects:
- Identification, evaluation and reflection of/on their personal skills, interests and needs.
- Documentation of short- and long-term goals for their personal career development.
- Guidance for structured conversations with their mentors.
- Creation of a trusting, responsible and respectful relationship with their supervisors.
