Transferring scientific research into practical applications and social contexts

Transfer is a central concern at the MIN Faculty of the University of Hamburg, encompassing both knowledge transfer and technology transfer. Knowledge transfer includes the dialog between science, society and politics. This takes place through various formats such as public lectures, PR and collaborations. Technology transfer focuses on close cooperation between science and industry in order to identify the innovation potential of research and transform it into marketable products.
