Abstract
From AI-based decision making to LLM-enabled everyday tasks, algorithms have become partners in humans’ work. This has led to a cognitive shift in the way that humans interact with algorithms. Such a shift not only shapes task outcomes but can alter how employees allocate attention, experience professional learning and develop/maintain work mastery. I will present different problematized contexts of human-LLM interaction and then show why focusing on the human’s own cognitive action is as essential compensatory approach.
