WHAT WE DO
Every year, a new iGEM team consisting of students from various disciplines of the University of Hamburg works on a novel synthetic biology approach. This involves independently defining a research problem, designing and implementing a suitable scientific approach to solve it, raising funds for its implementation, and presenting the chosen approach to a jury at the Jamboree in Paris.
PAST PROJECTS
In recent years, our Hamburg iGEM teams have tackled various challenges in therapy and diagnostics, including the development of a novel drug delivery system and the development of antibodies that counteract the effects of plant toxins on humans.
