The June issue of the News-Journal c&en of the American Chemical Society (ACS) reports on navigating chemical space for the development of new drugs, a research focus of the Computational Molecular Design research group from Prof. Dr. Matthias Rarey.
Methods for the systematic exploration of the synthetically accessible chemical space are of great interest right now in pharmaceutical research. In recent years, the Computational Molecular Design group at the Center for Bioinformatics has developed key technologies in this area, which are used worldwide in the early phases of drug discovery.
