Dr. Felix Joos has accepted the call to the W1 professorship for "Discrete Mathematics" at the University of Hamburg and will start his work at the Department of Mathematics on October 01, 2019.
Dr. Felix Joos' research focuses on graph theory. He investigates extremal and typical properties of graphs and other structures of discrete geometry, such as spherical packings. On October 1st, Dr. Felix Joos from the University of Birmingham, where he has been conducting research on the topic "Packing and Covering of Graphs" since 2015 with a research fellowship of the German Research Foundation, will move to the University of Hamburg. Prior to this, Joos studied mathematics at Ulm University from 2009 to 2013 and completed his doctorate there in 2015.
