Climate extremes and risks

Jana Sillmann will give a lecture on climate extremes and risks on May 20 as part of the climate lecture series in the Audimax I of the University of Hamburg at 6:15 pm. She is a professor at the University of Hamburg, where she holds the Chair of Climate Statistics and Climate Extremes in the Cluster of Excellence CLICCS (Climate, Climatic Change, and Society) and the Research Unit Sustainability and Climate Risks. Her research also includes investigating the drivers of change in climate extremes, including climate variability and anthropogenic activities such as greenhouse gases and air pollution. In addition, she works on the integration of natural and social sciences to support decision-making on climate change mitigation and adaptation.
