This networking meeting addresses employees who have experienced racism, including subtle or overt racist stereotyping, or due to their presumed or actual ethnic origins, religion, skin color, or language.
The workshop, led by Tsepo Bollwinkel, is an opportunity for exchange and a shared assessment of personally experienced discrimination. It will also provide an opportunity to reflect upon institutional routines that are racist in effect, regardless of anyone’s personal intentions. Last but not least, we will consider resources and supportive strategies at the various levels of University life.
The event is organized by the University’s Antidiscrimination Center (ZAD), the Equity Unit, and the Equal Opportunities Team of the MIN Faculty. It will take place in English. For questions or special concerns, please contact the ZAD.
Tsepo Bollwinkel Keele thinks, researches, writes, and speaks about social and Earth justice from a postcolonial and queer perspective. Their main focus is on questions of race, class, and gender. For nearly 30 years, they have specialized in empowerment work.
Please register here. Room information will be provided when you register.
Please note that the networking meeting addresses primarily employees of the MIN Faculty. Students and interested parties from other departments are also welcome to attend, provided there are free places.
