A paper of yours is about to be published and you think the topic might be suitable for a press release? You have a TV or radio interview and need a short coaching? We will be happy to support you with questions about science communication.

Preparation of press releases or texts
Do you have a paper that has been accepted and will be published soon? Or have an exciting research topic or project? We would be happy to support you in creating an appropriate text for the media and websites.
Here, the following channels are available for dissemination:
- Web pages of the MIN faculty, departments and working groups
- Research announcement for Informationsdienst Wissenschaft (idw)
- In consultation with department 2, the university newsroom or the dispatch of a press release are also available
- Dissemination via social media
We will be happy to clarify with you which medium the topic is suitable for.
Do you have a topic that concerns the Hamburg public? The best thing to do is to contact your colleagues from Department 2 directly.
Short coaching sessions for media inquiries
You have been asked for an interview and would like to get some hints on what to consider? The section "How to do #mediainquiries" offers you a first insight. We would also be happy to support you in the form of a short coaching session - via telephone and ZOOM.
As an employee of Universität Hamburg, you can also order the tips for dealing with the media for your bulletin board.
Videos and 360° shots
We have already accompanied several exciting video projects in the MIN faculty. These include the series "Warum Astrophysik studieren?" or videos about our study programs. If you have an idea for a video series in the area of research or study and teaching, please feel free to contact us!
Creation of information materials such as posters or study program flyers
You want to announce a conference and need posters or postcards? Depending on capacity, we can support you with the creation.
You have contact with a school or will visit a school class? We would be happy to put together a package with study program flyers and pencils for you.
Social Media
Are you considering opening a channel in social media? We recommend that you create a brief concept beforehand. We will be happy to support you and give you tips on what to consider when setting up and managing your channel.
